After Your Tanning Session

DHA will deepen in color 3 to 5 hours of your tan and will continue to develop for up to 24 hours.  Unless specified by your tanning technician, we recommend that you leave your tan on at least 10 to 12 hours before you take your first shower.  This will ensure a deep tan that will last.

During color development and until your first shower, we recommend the following instructions:

  •  Avoid getting wet - as rain, swimming and splashes of water can result in streaky uneven results.
  • Refrain from touching your skin with your hands to avoid transferring color to the palms of your hands or finger tips.

During your first shower:

  • Rinse thoroughly with plain water, removing the temporary bronze color and until the water is clear.  Be especially aware of rinsing your feet and ankle area as those areas can become uneven or too dark in color.
  • Wait 8 hours after your shower to begin moisturizing to allow for your tan to fully set.  Then moisturize daily!

Before Your Tanning Session

Bathe, shave and exfoliate your skin.  Avoid using pre-tan scrubs with oils in them, use a wash cloth or body scrubber if your not sure.

If your tan is schedule a few days in advance, begin moisturizing your skin right away and at least 2 times per day to prepare your skin for tanning.

Come to your appointment will clean skin.  Do not wear deodorant, lotions or perfumed products to your tanning session.  If this is unavoidable, let your tanning technician know.  We keep on hand, make up removers and can remove lotions and deodorant before hand.

Wear loose, dark clothing and sandals after your session.  Tight or restrictive clothing will damage your developing tan.

Wear lip balm or lipstick to your appointment.
