IMPORTANT NOTE: Female clients over the age of 18 may choose to tan topless. We suggest male clients wear a thong, swim suit or underwear. Clients under 18 must wear a bathing suit or under garments and must have signed parent approval. Be assured that we are professionals and will make every effort to accomodate your needs and make you as comfortable as possible, whatever you choose to wear.

Bathe and shave, then exfoliate your skin with a pH-balanced, pre-tan scrub. Avoid bar soaps and moisturizing spa-type scrubs. Mist carries preparation products made especially for pre-tanning. If you condition your hair, be sure to do so before exfoliation.

Do not apply deodorant, lotions or perfumed products after showering.

We recommend wearing an old, dark swimsuit or undergarments during your session.

Wear dark, loose clothing and sandals to your session. Tight or restrictive clothing will damage your developing tan.

Wear lip balm or lipstick to your appointment.

DHA will deepen in color in 3 to 5 hours after your treatment, and will continue to develop for up to 24 hours. Unless specified otherwise during your session, we recommend that you leave your tan for as long as possible up to 24 hours. This will help ensure a deep tan that will last. The rate of development time varies by individual.

During color development, and until your first shower, we recommend following these instructions:

Refrain from vigorous exercise resulting in perspiration.

Avoid getting wet - rain, swimming, splashes of water can result in streaky or uneven results.

Refrain from touching areas where solution is applied to avoid transfer of color to palms of hands or uneven color development.

To maintain and extend your tan, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!! This is key to even fading and tan longevity.

Alternating moisturizer and tan extender will extend your tan up to 2 weeks, keeping it smooth and even throughout its duration. Mist carries an excellent moisturizer and tan extender for your convenience.
